Our goal is to save old films from the trash heap and digitize them in HD for future generations. The Son went to film school and the father is passionate about history and assembles the content. What's on this DVD; American Railroads Railroad Train films Iron Horse gets Asthma "Men at Work" This is a collection of old Railroad films We call "Railroads; Men at Work". Very RARE films collection on NY Central Railroad System and how Steam engines get Asthma, plus other great old film stories. These films are very rare and we hope you'll enjoy this collection. 1st Film; "Iron Horse gets Asthma". This a very rare film with a sound track on how a Steam Engine gets Asthma. This film was created in 1937 because to many engines weren't able to keep there schedule on time because the engine wasn't fired properly, IE; the got Athma. This film shows the problem and how to fix it. Runtime about 10:00 Min's 2nd Film; "How to Remove RR Wheels". This film is about how men removed RR wheels from Tanker cars, then work on them, plus making Oil tankers at the factory and re-assembling both RR oil tanker and wheels. Amazing stuff. Runtime 15:59 Min's 3rd Film; "Crash Testing Oil Tankers". This too is a Rare film on how Railroad manufactures test impact test to make sure Oil tankers don't easly spill in a crash. This film is in good color too. Runtime 9:05 Min's. 4th Film; "Great Railroads". This is great film on the history of modern Steam engine railroads across the country at work. Great trains and story. Lot of great footage. Runtime 39:18 Min's 5th Film; "Railroad men at Work". This is a 3 hour film that we took in the High Desert on Railroad men working on fixing and replacing rails. We edited down to about 14 min. Again, Amazing!!! Runtime 13:49 min's 6th Film. "Railroad Newsreels". This is a collection of Railroad newsreels at work. 1st; Canadian Locomotive Factory. 2nd; Workers rush Tanks to front. 3rd; New Foundries. 4th; US wins War productions. 5th; 530 Miles of pipelines. 6th; Truck RR's for Mountain Men. 7th; Bus Trains. 8th; Key West Railroads!
